TURNAROUND PLANNING
A turnaround workpack is more than a task list.
Why acceptance criteria, readiness and close-out evidence belong in the same conversation.
Start with a defined engineering question
A workpack should connect the task to its purpose. Define equipment boundaries, prerequisites, acceptance criteria and the evidence required for handover. Resolve unclear ownership before the shutdown begins.
Make the review traceable
Record assumptions and distinguish measured facts from estimates. Check references against the original source and document changes made during review. Where uncertainty affects a safety-critical decision, escalate through the facility’s approved engineering process.
A practical next step
Choose one workflow and agree its inputs, reviewer and acceptance criteria before introducing automation. This editorial starter is general information, not a site-specific engineering recommendation.
